Jeanne Mager Stellman was born in Bensheim, Germany (American Zone), on May 27, 1947. She immigrated to the United States in 1948 and obtained her Certificate of Citizenship in 1951. Stellman holds a B.S. in chemistry from City College of New York (1968) and a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from City University of New York (1972).
